Make up Haul
Hey Hey, welcome back. I feel like I've not written in forever and I'm sorry about that. I have been fairly busy lately with mothers day being last week and a friends little boys christening this week and working every day in between that. And now I have been promoted in my new job after only being there 4 weeks I have a lot more to learn. But hey i'm just making excuses. Sorry. Lets get the actual point if this post. once again I spent more money than I should have done this month (I died a little inside when I checked my bank balance just now) Does any one else put off looking at their bank balance because they are afraid of how little money is in there.... pleasse tell me i'm on my own aha.
Some point last week ( yes last week, that's how long its taken to write this post) I went into boots and brought some more makeup surprise surprise. who's shocked?.. i'm not ..
there just seemed to be quite a few things that caught my eye that I wanted to try. As i've now had these products for over a week now I have had chance to try them out, so i'll give my opinion on them as I go a long.
Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish; I thought I would get this one out of the way as it's clearly one I didn't buy in boots. But this is my new love. I was desperately hoping it was going to live up to the blogging hype... and it does. I have been using this twice a day for just over a week and my skin feels amazing, I think now its starting the clear up my skin i'll just go to using it once a day. But i am loving everything in this box soo soo much, my only issue is that I didn't give into the hype sooner, but that's my bad. There was a little sample size of the cleanse and polish in here because I had spent over £45, I gave that to my mum to try out, if she likes it I may buy her the full size for her birthday or Christmas or something aha.
Clarins Insant Light Lip Comfort Oli- Ok so this is another thing that I did not get from boots.. but still brought in the same week so it still counts. well where to begin with this one. I first heard about this on one of Zoella's videos and she raved about it and had continued to mention it current videos, if she loves it that much its gotta be worth a try right? I can safely say I am damn glad I brought this, in the winter months my lips get fairly chapped and nobodys got time for that. so as well as using my blistex lip balm (which is my holly grail of lip balms btw) through out the day I have been using this when I go to bed, and I wake up in the morning and I feel like I have bran new lips, it's great!! I think this is defiantly going to be something I buy over and over again.
Fleur De Force- This was a very spontaneous buy, just because I never ever wear false lashes, they just aren't something that I have ever played about with. But I wanted to give them ago as last summer I had semi permanent lashes for my boyfriends brothers wedding and I loved how they looked, they just tied all of my makeup together. But I didn't get on with them at all, they made taking my makeup off so much more difficult, which then put me off trying any other lashes. But I decided to give these a go, wow. They were super easy to apply, I'm proud to say I got it right first time. These lashes look so natural which I love, and they are very light weight so once you get past that initial feeling of *what the hell is that in the corner of my eye* you don't ever feel like your wearing them. I recently wore them to a christening and I had them on from 12pm all the way though the day to 12am.. and they were still going strong. I think I probably would have still been wearing them in the morning if I hadn't taken them off aha. once I've I had my uses out of these I will be buying more.
Collection Lasting Perfection- Well, what to say about this concealer. If you don't own this you need to go buy it. All the hype about this product is happening for a reason. I love the coverage it gives and it works wonders on those awful dark circles.
Benefit Porefessional:I have been longing to try this ever since I got into makeup. There is so much hype about this primer. All I can say is that I am glad I didn't buy the full size... It feels lovely on the skin and after applying you can really feel how well it has smoothed out my skin, but when it came to applying my foundation over it, went tits up from there. My foundation just didn't seem to apply as well as it would normally. I'm not going to completely forget about it I will give it another go, simply because so many people can't be wrong. maybe I was having a bad day, I don't know. I 'll get back to you with that one.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Loose Face Powder- This is my all time fail safe face powder. I have re brought this soo many times I have lost count. I love the lasting power this has, it keeps all the shine at bay all day long. and it is so affordable.
Bourjois Paris City Radiance- I have heard so many good things about Bourjois as brand and their foundation in particular. I have been looking to try out a new foundation as I tend to stick with what I know and love with foundation, but I have a defiantly found new love. It applies so well onto the skin and gives a very even coverage.
I also brought my trusty L'Oreal True Match foundation, this is my third bottle. I'm hooked, it's super easy to blend and leaves an amazing finish and has great coverage.
Maybelline The Eraser Eye- This is another concealer if you don't own it you need to. It has such a full coverage it's jsut simply amazing. On those days where I am running late I tend to use this all over my face, as it doesn't take much to give the coverage I need or want.
Barry M That's How I Roll- I have very mixed feelings about this mascara, I don't think it does what it claims to do. But that doesn't mean its not a good mascara I just don't think i'll be reaching for it everytime I do my makeup.
That is all for this haul. thank you for reading. I'm sorry this took so long to go up time seem to get away from me this week!!
